Overthinking isn’t necessarily a fault. That would be hypocrisy, since aren’t we praised for having thought processes which dart out from waves of normality? Aren’t ideas which have escaped society’s manufacturing procedures appreciated? How can we do this if taking even a step further into the deeper waters of analysis or wading through seas in different directions instead of taking a straight course, is batted away or frowned at, instantly deemed to be negative?
It can be strength and withstanding; the brain being pounded at with irrational fears, which it cannot help giving attention to because it is finding reasons why these fears might not really be irrational.
It can be caring, and yet again, not caring too much, because who decides how much one should care? It is caring immensely, it is care swelling and building inside you, it is your exhales absolutely giving to your cause.
It can be clutching at assurance, desperately trying to find and manage all possible outcomes. It is the protection of your vulnerability, knocking away potentially sharp, painful, ominous threats.
Overthinking is preparation, insurance, curiosity, hunger, fear, effort. It does need to be caught before it spirals into hysteria, but it is not necessarily a fault.
